About Me

I am an occupational therapist with almost 10 years of experience in both the public and private settings, and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). 

I completed my training in occupational therapy at the University of Stellenbosch before completing my community service year at Shongwe Hospital in Mpumalanga. I then worked as a psychiatric occupational therapist in the public sector at Tambo Memorial Hospital in Johannesburg for a number of years, before gaining experience working with addiction at Rustenburg Addiction Clinic in Somerset West.

While working full-time, I completed a Masters degree in Public Health which helped to expand my understanding of the health system and the social determinants of health, giving me a broader perspective on the complexities of health conditions.

I have experience working with individuals with substance use disorders (addiction), mood and anxiety disorders and other psychiatric conditions.

Since becoming a mother myself, my particular area of interest is providing support for new moms where I offer specialized therapy to help navigate the challenges of motherhood, manage stress, and maintain mental health during this significant life transition.

In my free time, I enjoy being creative in a number of different mediums such as photography, gardening, playing music and sewing. I am also a voracious reader, with my favorite books being biographies.
